Professional Service Since 1959
Carellas Insurance is a family run agency founded in 1959 by Theodore (God's Gift) Carellas. After working many years as a claims adjuster for the Springfield Fire & Marine Insurance Company, with the support of his wife Maria,
he decided to hang his shingle in West Springfield.
In 1989, after spending 6 years with insurance powerhouse AIG in New York City, Bill Carellas moved back to the area, joining his father in the business.
Our Locations Over Time
Our agency started in a backroom on Elm Street. Several years later my dad moved his operation to the 2nd floor of a building over-looking the West Springfield rotary, then to the 3rd floor of the old Gilbarco Building.
In 2007, after 25-years on the 3rd-floor of the Union Street office building, we moved to our current location, on the green, in West Springfield.
Still Servicing Original Clients!
We are fortunate to still service clients from who entrusted us with their business in our original 1-room office.
Over the course of time we have expanded our operation and are now licensed in all the New England States.
